Life at best is bittersweet, it's just a series of trial and error.

In my professional life, I’ve always felt like I’m racing against the clock. Whether it’s catching the morning train to work, meeting project deadlines, or resolving urgent production issues, time has been my constant companion. However, for the past two months, as I’ve been searching for work, everything seems to have slowed down. Initially, there was a sense of enjoyment in the newfound freedom. But soon after, each day started to feel like a repetitive routine.

Amidst the whirlwind of life’s uncertainties, I realize that it’s fine to hit the pause button, to slow down, and to take a breath. Sometimes, amidst the chaos of not knowing where we’re headed or what we truly want, the best course of action is to focus on what we can do in the present moment.

Uncertainty can be daunting. We may not yet grasp our ultimate goals or the paths we should tread. But rather than succumbing to the pressure of figuring it all out at once, I’ve learned to take it one step at a time. Excel in what we’re currently capable of, tread carefully with each step we take, and nurture ourselves while we figure it all out. For instance, I’ve been taking LinkedIn courses and exploring classes on Coursera, Udemy, and Skillshare.

Feeling lost or bewildered is a natural part of the journey. But every effort we put forth, no matter how small, it adds up. Each action becomes a building block for our future, propelling us toward greater heights. Procrastination only robs us of the momentum we need to move forward. Starting may seem daunting, but often, it’s not as difficult as we imagine once we take that first step.

While striving for progress is commendable, there’s the beauty in moving at a leisurely pace. We don’t all fit into the same mold, and we can take our time and find our rhythm without feeling pressured to conform to someone else’s pace. Yet, while we advocate for a slower approach, lounging around indefinitely isn’t the answer either.

Each of us arrives in this world with a unique set of desires and a mission to fulfill. By attuning ourselves to our inner needs and understanding our inherent nature, we can navigate life at a pace that suits us best. Even in our leisurely strides and relaxed endeavors, we can uncover new possibilities and forge ahead on our chosen path.

It’s fine to take a break and recharge. But don’t abandon our aspirations hastily. As long as we hold a clear vision of where we want to go, we’ll inevitably arrive at our intended destination. So, embrace the journey with all its twists and turns, knowing that each step, no matter how slow, brings us closer to where we’re meant to be.

“Slow down and enjoy life. It’s not only the scenery you miss by going too fast – you also miss the sense of where you are going and why.” – Eddie Cantor
