My dad always complains when he was young, he only focused on working hard and earning more money. He thought he would enjoy life when he retired. But now he retired, he gets different types of illness: high blood pressure, diabetes, prostate trouble, lost half of his hearing and even his legs cannot walk for longer periods. He never lived the life he dreamed about. Life is unfair.
When your old favorite movies are shown on TV, when your childhood songs are played on radio, when you see your friends’ kids growing up, you know you had walked a long way with life. When you look back, the most beautiful moments always seemed to pass and slip beyond your grasp. People walk into your life, teach you lessons, and then walk away. One day you suddenly awake that you had grown old and the time had gone.
There are always tasks in our to-do list, emails and text messages need to answer, and people want our attention. We feel like we will never catch up. The dream seems unattainable now, so we wait for a better time. The perfect time never seems to be now, so we wait. We end up waiting all our lives for things that we can actually reach for at present. Don’t wait for opportunities when you can create them right now.
Time is the most valuable thing in life – time with your loved ones; time with your family; time with your friends. Time flies but you can be the navigator. The memories collected along the way will last forever. Patience is not about waiting, but the ability to keep a good attitude while working hard for what you believe in. Our life will love us more if we can fill our time with meaningful experiences. There are 525,600 minutes in a year. How will you spend them?
Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.
