In Japan the art of Kintsugi in ceramics refers to the practice of repairing cracks in pottery with gold, in effect making the broken pottery more valuable than the pristine piece. We all get broken in one way or another in life. But we can also see our own cracks in life can be filled with gold.

When we are going through some of our darkest moments, remember that our personal wounds can be healed and the healing we experience can put us on the path to enlightenment and make us a more whole and complete person. There’s always time for pain, and there’s always time for healing.

The wound is the place where the light enters you.
